If this blog is about anything right now, it's about my adventures with art and fiction writing.
I was born and raised in the Windy City. When I was ten, I used to build tall cities out of white sheets of paper, glue, and tape. Then, I would fill them up with characters that I drew. What can I say? I loved using my imagination.
After high school, I attended American Academy of Art in Chicago for two years, where I learned the art of figure drawing and oil painting. I learned a skill. But I had another interests.
So I volunteered for City Year Chicago where I worked on the west side of Chicago helping disadvantaged children in an after school program..
Instead of continuing my studies in art, I decided to pursue an undergraduate degree in Urban Studies. I'm genuinely interested in how cities develop. When I was a kid, I wondered, "Why is that building there?"
Afterward, I moved to New York City and graduated from New York University with a graduate degree in urban planning. Somewhere along the way, I got lucky and married a beautiful woman. The entire Epic Eve story is dedicated to her.
Right now, I work full time as a city planner and during my spare time I like to draw and write.
